It feels strange to put pen to paper after all that has happened the last two days. Stress sent my wife to early labor.. the child was not due to be birthed for 3 or 4 weeks more, but she has come early to us this evening.
She breathes now, but she is small and not so developed as she should be. She is beautiful, like an angel come from heaven.
Ayanna, we have called her. Beautiful flower.
A tiny life that was nearly lost to us. It is fortunate that I and my son were available to deliver the child... that he was available at all, without him.. surely we would have expired. But.. this danger is not done. It is God's will now to decide if she and her mother will stay with us.
God, have mercy, give us strength. |
